The COVID 19 Test
If you have a negative COVID 19 test, self isolate until fully recovered and test every three days until you are well.
The test has high specificity – a positive test means you do have COVID 19
The test has poor sensitivity – a negative test means little because you may have the virus because it is too early for you to be shedding it. This applies to children and young to middle aged adults. They have less ACE receptor sites on their cells and that tends to slow disease progress and hence slows virus shedding.
The contact tracing and isolation processes have continued to fail. Inadequately trained personnel at the quarantine facilities and untracked contacts have been allowed to spread the virus.
Other countries such as Korea had contact tracing covered in March. Have a look at my post back then.
We need these issues fixed. Now.
